Employee Spotlight - Jane Pople – Marketing Manager

Each month we take a closer look at one of Lolly's fantastic team members and find out more about how they help drive Lolly's success. This month the spotlight is on Marketing Manager, Jane Pople.

How long have you been with Lolly?

I have been working at Lolly for 8 months.

What does your job entail? What are the highlights?

I manage Lolly’s marketing, which, put simply, involves how we communicate with our current and potential customers. Ensuring they are aware of our latest products, software features, and all the exciting innovations we are developing. The highlights so far include helping to launch our new website, which showcases how Lolly integrates AI and software.

Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

Growing up I always wanted to be a writer. I love the Jacqueline Wilson books and would often write to her; she would write back and was always very encouraging. I honed my writing skills with a degree in journalism and spent over a decade as Head of Content for a global e-commerce brand before joining Lolly. I utilise my writing skills every day in my role here at Lolly, and love combining this aspect of my background with the more data-driven side of being a marketing manager.

What are you most proud of achieving during your time at Lolly so far?

I am most proud of building a strong marketing team. We have great talent at Lolly and have worked hard to ensure we are utilising peoples’ strengths in the right areas.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I aim to further develop my skills and advance the use of AI and ML in marketing, taking it to the next level, and looking at how we utilise the latest developments in technology to help make Lolly as successful as possible.

What are your outside interests and hobbies?

I love music and before having children spent my summers at musical festivals. I have yet to convince my partner that taking two toddlers to Glastonbury is a good idea… I am also a certified nerd; if my head isn’t in a book then it’s working on my next Lego build.
